Also the game doesn't crash when I start from steam (didn't do any compatability mode changes) so I'm guessing the issue is probably not that but I'll try.The Fallout universe paints a picture of a dystopian future. Note: I use all these fixes for my game and it works fine, the use of any single fix but not the others may not work, so I highly recommend using all of them. This is what I did to get my game to work, also I recommend using the 4GB Large adress aware enabler found here:, it will help reduce game crashes do to the default 2GB of memory that the game is limited to utilizing, it's especially good for those who mod their games. Use GFWL Disabler to disable Games for Windows Live Set FalloutLauncher, and Fallout3 to Compatability Mode: WinXP SP3 Immediately after this line, ADD this new line: :/ Try launching the game through steam instead of FOSE, if it still crashes then try setting FalloutLauncher.exe (it might show as just FalloutLauncher) set it to compatability mode for WinXP SP3 then launch via steam, if it works after that I'd say you found your problem. ![]() Originally posted by Gargoyle:How can I run the game in compatability mode while using fose?
